From November 13 - 15, Asia Partnership Fund Group (APF) engaged in a corporate social responsibility (CSR) project in Korat, the hub of Isan (northeastern Thailand).

The event, with support from the local Chamber of Commerce and Thai Army Second Division, aimed to raise children's awareness of the tradition of Thai ancient painting known as "Hoop Tamm', and of Buddhist culture; as well as nurture cultural exchange between Thailand and Japan among younger generations.

Artists from both Thailand and Japan were invited to participate in workshop with 120 students chosen from all junior high school students in Korat. Ms. Sugiyama Mitsue was invited from Japan to teach "E-tegami", an art combining Japanese traditional paintings and letters. Thai children enthusiastically learned to paint pictures which incorporate both Thai and Japanese traditions.

On the night of November 14, 700 people, among them celebrities from the Isan region and people involved in the project, were invited to a party at Korat Shima Thani Hotel. Representatives of APF Group held a group interview with the media. About 80 media outlets, among them major TV stations, came to cover the party, a very successful event.
At the beginning of the party Chairman Konoshita made a speech on APF Group's attitude towards corporate social responsibility (CSR). For 10 years APF Group has been investing in Thailand, acquiring both listed and non-listed companies. Many companies in the group now enjoy the best performances in their history. In addition to the well-received group policy of friendly acquisitions, Thai culture and hospitality also contributed greatly to the success. Thus it is the group's duty to show the gratitude to Thai society.

Group Lease Public Company Limited, a member of the APF Group, has been expanding its business activities in Korat this few years; APF Group is already working to expand business in the vast Isan region. Many businessmen from the Isan region, including Korat, attended the party and actively exchanged opinion with representatives of APF Group.

On September 7, 2009 Wedge Holdings (Wedge HD), a member company of Asia Partnership Fund (APF) Group, announced resumption of dividend payment for the first time in 4 years and revised the expected dividend from 2009 earnings to 100 yen per share based on the resolution of its Board of Directors.

Suffering losses for 3 consecutive years from 2005, Wedge HD stopped paying dividend due to lackluster performance. After the participation in management by APF Group, the management reform turned the performance profitable last year. With the progress in strengthening business foundation, the company decided to resume dividend payment.
